Thirty-Six Ounces In A Mile

What’s left of a Kansas City cow after all the steaks are gone? Lots of leather! (Think buckskin, not biker jacket.) You choose from: 1) The one-piece Lace Leather Belly. Really more of a long half-belly, this solid piece of leather is between 2-1/2 and 3-1/2 sq feet. Ours was black, approx 10-1/2” wide x 53” long x 1/8” thick. 2) A pack of Leather Strips. Ours was a very assorted 2 lbs of strips and larger pieces of leather, 1/16” to 1/8” thick, in rust and brown. 3) The Farmer Bundle Repair Bag, 2 lbs of scraps in various colors. Ours contained a solid 12” x 8” black piece and a very large bundle of brown leather thongs 47” long x approx 1/8” square. Lots of variety, and lots of heavy leather for the price.

An unusual find. This piece of Robax® brand heat-resistant transparent ceramic fireplace glass from the Schott Co. is rated for up to 1400°F. It’s like the window in your oven door, but we think it was meant for a fireplace or wood-burning stove. You choose a 12-1/2" x 9"x 3/16” thick piece with an arched top, or a plain rectangle, 15" x 8-3/4" x 3/16” thick. The edges are ground and the glass has a very slight grayish-pink cast. Made in the USA.

Mess-O-Magnets
A whole bunch, yea a whole classroom's worth, of ceramic magnets for a song. You'll get 2 pounds of the attractive little things, which will be a few dozen or more of them in assorted sizes and shapes. The largest are likely to be 1-1/4" dia and the smallest 1/2" x 1/4" but there may be others, and they're all strong little buggers. Buy in bulk and make your own maglev model train.
