Sarcastic Ball
You've seen those 4" dia balls that always seem to have the right answer. You pose any question, and when you turn the ball over, a printed answer floats up to the window on the bottom. Well this one does it with sarcasm: "Yeah, right," "Ask me if I care," and "Oh, please," are examples. As our regular customers know, we don't carry rude items like this, but sometimes we find them in our warehouse and list them just to get rid of them. So please help us out and buy yours now.

Mylar Warmth
They have the look of something designed for the space program. They're mylar, a paper-thin shiny metallic sheet, that comes in handy when your car breaks down in winter, or when you're separated from your climbing group on the slopes of Mt. McKinley. Barring that, they're also a perfect material for a do-it-yourself cold-climate Halloween costume-near impossible to rip by hand, but cut easily with scissors. There's no padding, so they wouldn't be too comfy on your bed, but they sure are warm. They both come folded about the size of a wallet. The Blanket is 52" x 82", the Sleeping Bag is 34" x 84".

Flying Bird

From France comes this fun mechanical plastic bird that really flies by flapping its wings. It is about 8" long and has a wingspan of 16" tip to tip. Snap the wings in place, wind up the rubberband drive and toss it gently into the air on its maiden flight. It flies up to fifty yards with a satisfying fluttering sound. Comes with a spare rubberband drive mechanism.

Tattoos
There are temporary tattoos all over the place, but how many of them glow in the dark? Our (6) packs, that's how many. Each pack holds a 5" x 5-1/2" sheet full of tattoos, most 1/2" to 2" across. The spirals and tai chi designs are black and white, the rest are in full color.

Bigfoot
Taken alone, this huge slipper-shape with a double-thick sole will protect your new walking cast on the trip home from the hospital. As a pair, and that's what our each is, the 14" long x 8" wide (when flat) Christmas-green felt slippers look more like something Santa would ease into after a long Christmas eve. They work well as exercise sliders, but since their black binding forms a loop at the heel end, we're hanging them on the back porch filled with posies and pots of herbs. The manufacturer calls it the Thunder Tube". We call it indispensable for the amateur Foley operator. It's a 7" long x 2-1/2" dia PVC tube with a resonant head at one end attached to a 17" long x 3/16" dia extension spring. Shake it, scrape it, wiggle it, use your palm to muffle it and you generate creaks, deep warbles, rumbles, weird heterodyne-ish gong effects, wa-wa's, rude noises, and, yes, realistic thunder. A perfect musical companion to your cuica and rain stick--and good, clean fun around the house. Don't make a sound-track without it.

From Sun Catcher®, a transparent prismatic sheet, roughly 4-1/4" x 5-1/4", inside an oval frame, roughly 10-3/4" x 8-1/4" with a variety of motifs. We'll pick (1) of (3) diffraction patterns inside (1) of (6) heavy cardboard frames: undersea critters, fairyland, jungle life, a wizard, dolphins or a garden with butterflies and a hummingbird. It will "transform light into an explosion of multiple hues," and who doesn't like that? Comes with a suction cup to mount in your window, and if you're a minimalist you could cut the cool prism out of its frame and we wouldn't tell a soul.

A Working Wonder
If we had a category just for customers who lust after Jules Verne inventions and elegant gadgetry, this would be in it. The wonderful brass sundial, a reproduction of an antique, is approx 3" dia x 11/16" thick overall, and actually works! A latitudinal gauge lets you tilt the engraved dial to the correct angle for your location, and a bubble and three leveling feet allow the 1-1/2" dia lock-down compass to point in the precise direction. And if you never took it out into the sunshine, you'd still love it for the look and logic of it.

Hoser?
Best name we could think of, OK? Attach this white HDPE spray bottle to a garden hose and it spews the contents plus water on, well, whatever you're spraying stuff on. A new, unused bottle that was made for Armor-All, it'll do the same thing with car wash detergent, fertilizer, or any other liquid. It's sized for a standard 1" hose fitting. The top has a 3-way, on/off/water-only control plus a little snap-in shim to direct the spray downward (although this is easily removed). Shaped like a plastic motor oil bottle, it holds approx 36 oz and measures 11-1/2" tall x 4-5/8" wide x 2" deep.
