Letter To The Editor
Sir: It is indeed a shame what our country has come to. I refer to these foam gaskets I recently purchased. They are black, 1-1/2" OD x 1" ID x 3/16" thick, very dense and spongy. I have found them to be excellent vibration dampeners in various mechanical devices in my home and shop. But why did they cost me so little? This low price is an outrage that I worry could lessen the value placed on these fine products by the youth of today. The city council should investigate this matter. -name withheld

Getting Along
Another way to protect floors of all types from the painful scars of furniture scratching. These pads are dense brown felt, 6" x 1/2" x 1/4" thick, with adhesive on the back. Flowery Lamps
Or lampy flowers, we're not sure. We do know these ceramic lamp finials (the thingees that hold the shade on) are sweetly colored bunches of flowers, about 1" dia x 3" tall. Our each is a box of (4) including (1) each with yellow chrysanthemums, yellow daffodils, rose, purple and yellow tulips, and rose and purple somethings which we think may sort of be pansies. All have green leaves around the flowers. Very pretty, but we suggest you do not use them with a hi-tech decor.

Shiny brass chain of the sash persuasion. Light duty and only 1 ft long, Purchasing says it is for industrial doll houses. Over here in Editorial, we believe less and less of what Purchasing tells us. So we suggest you use it to secure the chuck key to a tool, a roll of electric tape to your belt, or someone from Purchasing to his cubicle. (They are all quite puny.)

Make Molds For Free!
Just leave bread in a damp place. Or buy this stuff and make casts of solid objects, anything from faces and fingers to celery and crucifixes, with quick-setting Instamold. (We'll sell you 10 oz. of the Instamold compound, but you provide the water to mix it with.) Then fill the molds you've made with plaster, wax, or Permastone-yes, we sell Permastone too. It's an extremely strong casting medium with a clean white hue when set, waterproof and scratch resistant. Each can we sell has 1-3/4 lbs. of Permastone, to be mixed with water.

Mount That Specimen
Cases for mounting butterflies, bugs, rocks, fossils or any other three dimensional collectibles. Known as Riker mounts, these are sturdy cardboard boxes 7/8" deep, with glass glued into the front cover for viewing. They are filled with a fairly firm, white, expanded, synthetic, cotton–like material. The cushiony filler holds the three–dimensional viewee in place without pins or glue. Very handy for the proud trophy hunter. Our smaller is 8” x 12” and the larger 12” x 16–1/2”.

Bead Heaven
Glass beads, 0.055" diameter!! They are German and are the kind you glue on stuff to make it sparkle or reflective--not the kind with holes. At our price you could do layers in little bottles for really cool thingums!! We have 'em in clear and a whole host of colors. Craft stores sell tubes of these beads for a ruinous $4.00 per tube or about $3.35 per oz.. Well, we don't have the tube so you are going to get a baggie, but you only have to pay $1.00 per oz so jump up and down and clap your hands over such a great deal!! The only thing left is to choose what you need. In case you can't do that, we offer an assortment of (10) packages which will include clear plus at least six (6) different colors.
