Affordable, adaptable lab equipment for serious scientists with laughable budgets. The basic stand is heavy black metal 8” long x 5” wide x 1” high with a 19–1/2” x 3/8” dia support rod screwed into it. Position a beaker or bunsen burner on the stand and build the configuration you need above it. Both of the Burette clamps and the ring attach to the rod with thumbscrew clamps. The Burette clamps have wing nuts so they can be adjusted to any angle. The single clamp extends 4” from the rod, with rounded, uncoated, adjustable metal jaws with spring tension and a wing nut. The double clamp like it has rubber–coated jaws. The 3” metal support ring holds the 4” x 4” or 6” x 6” heavy–gauge steel–mesh burner screen with crimped edges. Nice, solid equipment at a rare price.

Each non-sterile transfer pipet measures 6-1/8" long, with a 1mm mouth, a 3/16" dia neck, and a 1/2" dia bulb. It holds 3.5ml and is graduated up to 1ml in .25ml increments. This handheld pH meter from Hanna Instruments measures 0-14 pH to 0.01 resolution, accurate to +/- 0.2. Calibration screw for 7.01, and another for 4.01 or 10.01 pH. We like this Conair Ultrasonic Cleaner, and we've been able to price it very attractively. The silver-plastic cleaner is approx. 8" x 5-1/4" x 5-5/16" OA, with a 20oz stainless steel cleaning well. Submerge jewelry, lenses, CD/DVD's, shaver heads, small machine parts, etc., in water approx 5-3/4" x 3-1/2" x 1-1/2" deep that cleans by vibrating 42,000 times per second. It has a hinged, see-through lid, a removable plastic tray, five timed cycles from 90 to 480 seconds and an attached 4-ft cord.

Chemically treated paper strips to test for acid or base solutions. Use the red for acidity tests, the blue for base (alkaline) tests. The more sophisticated Hydrion paper strip indicates pH from 1 (dark red) to 11 (dark blue). Values between these two can be read by comparing them with a color chart on the side of the container. All have (100) strips of test paper per vial.
